The 1st Pekan Apresiasi Film Nasional ceremony (formerly Indonesian Film Festival), presented by the Indonesian Film Board (BFI). honored the best film of 1955 and took place on April 5, 1955, in Jakarta.

The first ceremony awards were presented by the BFI in 12 categories of the Citra Award. The jury category Best Visual Effect were unannounced for the winner in first time. Tarmina and Lewat Djam Malam each won five awards, followed by Debu Revolusi which won in two categories.
