The 2014 Cork Senior Hurling Championship is the 128th staging of the Cork Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The championship began on 20 April 2014 and ended on 12 October 2014.

Midleton were the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Douglas in round four.[1][2] Courcey Rovers were relegated from the championship after three seasons in the top tier. Sarsfield's won the title after a 2-18 to 0-8 defeat of Glen Rovers in the final.[3][4]

Teams

All but one of the twenty-five teams from the 2013 championship participated in the top tier of Cork hurling in 2014.

Youghal, who defeated Castlelyons by 0–11 to 0–10 in the final of the premier intermediate championship in 2013, availed of their right to automatic promotion to the senior championship.[5]

Similarly, St. Finbarr's defeated Ballinhassig by 1–13 to 0–15 in the 2013 senior relegation play-off, and so Ballinhassig were relegated to the premier intermediate grade for 2014.[6]
