• 3 January – The Singaporean car carrier Hoegh Osaka runs aground on Bramble Bank of the Isle of Wight, in the entrance to Southampton Water.^[1]
• 14 January – First SMRT train service disruption east-bound train travelling from Joo Koon to Dover.

March

• 23 March – Former Singapore Prime Minister and also "Architect of Modern Singapore" Lee Kuan Yew, died at the age of 91 in Singapore General Hospital at 3:18 am.
  • Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has declared a seven-day period of national mourning and the funeral will be held on March 29.
  • The state flags on all government buildings would be flown at half-mast for the mourning period, which starts on March 23, and ends on March 29.
• 25 March – Lee Kuan Yew's funeral
  • The funeral procession of Lee Kuan Yew from the Istana to Parliament House.
  • Thousands of Singaporeans queued to pay their last respects to former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew, who lay in state at Parliament House.
• 29 March – Lee Kuan Yew's funeral
  • The funeral procession of Lee Kuan Yew from the Parliament House to National University of Singapore (NUS) University Cultural Centre.
  • A minute of silence for the late Lee Kuan Yew was held across the city-state.
  • Lee Kuan Yew's body was cremated and interred at Mandai Crematorium and Columbarium.

• 5 June – At least nine people, mostly from Tanjong Katong Primary School (TKPS) were killed when an earthquake measuring 6.0 on Richter scale struck Mount Kinabalu and Ranau in the state of Sabah, Malaysia.
• 8 June – 2015 Sabah earthquake:
  • National mourning for Singaporean earthquake victims:
    • The state flags on all government buildings is flying at half-mast as a mark of respects for the nation's earthquake victims.
• 10 June – 2015 Sabah earthquake:
  • Two more Singaporeans quake victims, mostly from Tanjong Katong Primary School (TKPS) found on Mount Kinabalu.

July

• 4 July – The 156-year-old Singapore Botanic Gardens has officially declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
• 7 July - Largest MRT breakdown in Singapore (the magnitude is more than the 2011 Singapore MRT disruptions) due to the power fault. All the train stations in the North South Line and East West Line were closed as a result.

• 7 August to 10 August – Singapore celebrated its 50 years of independence (National Day Weekend). 7 August 2015, is also declared as a public holiday.
• 9 August – Singapore celebrates its Golden Jubilee.
• 18 August – Set of six SG50 commemorative notes unveiled by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)
• 25 August – Parliament dissolved, paving way for General Elections.

September

• 11 September – 2015 General Elections: The ruling People's Action Party (PAP), led by Lee Hsien Loong, retains its majority in the elections.
• 24 September – The haze in Singapore reached to a hazardous range of 313, prompting the Ministry of Education to close schools for the first time because of haze.

• 25 October – The second phase of the Downtown Line has now begun testing.
