4th General Assembly of Nova Scotia

The 4th General Assembly of Nova Scotia represented Nova Scotia between May 1765 and April 2, 1770, its membership being set in the 1765 Nova Scotia general election. William Nesbitt was chosen as speaker.

The division of seats within the Nova Scotia Legislature after the General Election of 1765:

Notes:

  1. John Fillis was elected in a 1772 by-election held after Gerrish died
  2. Morris was elected in both King's County and Truro, choosing to sit for Truro. Replaced by David Archibald
  3. resigned seat due to age; replaced by Ephraim Dean, who apparently never took his seat in the assembly
  4. resigned in 1768; replaced by John Hicks
