Adam Craig is an American country music singer - songwriter from Tenino, Washington. Craig has made a name for himself since moving to Nashville, Tennessee in September 2004, as a songwriter.[1] In March 2011 he signed to Sony/ATV Music Publishing, and has co-penned hits like Parmalee's "Close Your Eyes (Parmalee song)," Jason Aldean's "Chruch Pew or Bar Stool," Dustin Lynch's "World To Me," Love and Theft (duo) "Whiskey on my Breath," and many more.[2] Now signed to Stoney Creek Records, Craig has made the leap from songwriter to artist releasing his self-titled debut EP, and his debut single out on country radio called "Reckon," written by Randy Montana, Derek George and Jeremy Stover.[3]

Early life

Adam Craig grew up on the west coast, in the town of Tenino, Washington. (75 miles south of Seattle). Baseball was the main focus through high school until learning guitar at the age of 18. After playing one year of college baseball, and touring in a three piece country band, Adam dedicated all his time and effort to music. It took performing with Sara Evans and meeting with a Nashville-based producer, to make the full commitment. In 2004 Adam arrived in Nashville.[2]

Music career

Within the first year of moving, Adam signed his first publishing deal. He performed at many of the clubs on Broadway, and eventually formed a band under the name TelluRide and later, The Adam Craig Band.[4] The band independently released three singles charting on the BillBoard Indicator Chart. In 2010 Adam had his first cut by a major label artist with the song "Church Pew or Bar Stool" recorded by Jason Aldean.[5] It was that song and others that landed him signing with Sony/ATV in April, 2011 and to the Broken Bow label group in 2014.[6]
