Akademikerförbundet SSR
Akademikerförbundet SSR (in English 'The Union for Professionals') is the Swedish association for university graduates in public administration, social science, political science, behavioral science, human resource management or social work. The union organizes 63,000 members in both public and private sector. The organization consists of more than 300 local and regional organizations with one national office based in Stockholm.
Akademikerförbundet SSR is a member of the Swedish Confederation of Professional Associations (in Swedish SACO), a politically independent confederation of 22 unions of university graduates with totally approximately 600,000 members.
Akademikerförbundet SSR is also a member of Public Services International (PSI) and European Public Services Unions (EPSU).
The chair of Akademikerförbundet SSR, since May 2012, is Heike Erkers.
