Akela Cooper is an American television writer and producer.

She is known for her work on NBC's Grimm; and for Luke Cage.

Career

She began her career in the industry as a featured extra on the web series Unsocial Network Sketch. She ventured into television scripting with TRON: Uprising. She then joined the NBC paranormal drama Grimm in 2012, as story editor. She contributed three episodes throughout her run on the show. She has since written for The 100 and Witches of East End, the latter of which she also served as a co-producer. She is currently a producer and writer on Luke Cage, and a supervising producer and writer for FX's American Horror Story: Roanoke.[1][2]
