Al-Markazul Islami As-Salafi (Arabic: المركز الإسلامي السلفي; Bengali: আল-মারকাযুল ইসলামী আস-সালাফী) is a leading Islamic educational institution of Bangladesh which is based upon Manhaj Salaf and run by Ahlehadeeth Movement Bangladesh, with a difference in curriculum and standard system. It is located to Rajshahi, the eastern division of Bangladesh.[1][2][3][4]

History

Al-Markazul Islami As-Salafi was established in Nawdapara, Sapura, Rajshahi in 1981. At first, it was established by the local religious leaders as a Hifj Madrasa. Then it was remodeled and renamed to Al-Markazul Islami As-Salafi in 1991. Since 1991 Al-Markazul Islami As-Salafi gained reputation of the best institution for learning the knowledge of Islam according to the Manhaj of salafe Saleheen (Pious predecessors) in the country. A good number of reputed Islamic scholars and researchers of its students bear testimony to this.

Administration

The Madrasa has been established by Dr. Muhammad Asadullah Al-Ghalib and managed by "Education department" of Ahlehadeeth Andolon Bangladesh.[2] Since its establishment, three reputed Islamic Scholar have served as the principal of the Madrasa.

Students

The number of students are as much as 1000 including both the male and female campus of this Madrasa. Each year a few students from the madrasa go to Saudi Arabia's various universities to achieve higher education.[9]

Publications

The students of the Madrasa publish every year some periodicals, magazines and educational suggestions and papers as their extra-curricular activities.

Alumni and notable staff

The academic staff of the Madrasa include some of the eminent Islamic scholars of the country like Abdus Samad Salafi, Abdur Razzaque bin Yousuf, Shaikh Badiuzzaman, Abdul Khaleque Salafi and Akhtarul Aman. The Madrasa has produced some influential alumni like Mujaffar Bin Muhsin, Nurul Islam, Mortuza Ali, Imamumddin, Abdul Alim, Ahmad Abdullah Saqib, Shariful Islam and so on who are effectively contributing to different fields, educational, social and religious.
