Ar-Raqqah District (Arabic: منطقة مركز الرقة‎, translit. manṭiqat ar-Raqqah‎) is a district of the ar-Raqqah Governorate in northern Syria. Administrative centre is the city of ar-Raqqah. At the 2004 census, the district had a population of 503,960.[1]
