Alan Bannister MBE (3 November 1922 May 2007) was an English cyclist. He was born in Manchester. He won a silver medal, representing Great Britain, in the tandem event at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, together with Reg Harris.[1] He also competed in the same event at the 1952 Summer Olympics. He was awarded an MBE. He had two sons Mark and Paul.
