Alan David Blakley [1] (1 April 1942[1] – 10 June 1996)[2] was an English guitarist and record producer, who was a member of the Tremeloes from its inception until January 1975, where he started writing for other bands.[1] His credits include writing various hits for the Tremeloes and co-producing the UK No. 42[3] hit "She's Gonna Win", with Bilbo Baggins.[4]
Personal life
He had two daughters, Claudie Blakley and Kirsten Blakley,[5] with his actress wife Lin Blakley, and a brother, Mike Blakley.[6]
Blakely died of cancer in June 1996, aged 54.[7]
