Alexander Michael McQuade (born 7 November 1992) is an English footballer. He had a short spell playing in the Football League for Shrewsbury Town.

Career

Bolton Wanderers and Shrewsbury Town

McQuade began his career with Bolton Wanderers, having progress through the academy system and signed his first professional contract on a one-year deal.[2] However, McQuade was released by the club upon his contract coming to an end.[3]

Shortly being released by Bolton, McQuade immediately joined Shrewsbury Town in April 2013.[4][5] He made his professional debut in a 0–0 draw against Milton Keynes Dons on 3 August 2013.[6]

On 28 February 2014, McQuade joined Conference side Hyde on a one-month loan.[7] He made his debut for the club a day later, in a 2–1 defeat away at Braintree Town.[8] The loan was later extended until the end of the season.[9]

McQuade was released at the end of his contract in May 2014 having not made another league appearance for Shrewsbury.[10]

Non-league

In July 2014, McQuade joined Wrexham on trial and played in a 1-0 win over Swansea City under 21's in the Dragons' first pre season friendly,[11] however he was not offered a contract.[12] In the 2014-15 season he had short spells at Guiseley,[13] former loan club Hyde,[14] and Farsley.[15]

Ahead of the 2015−16 season, McQuade joined Warrington Town.[16] He emigrated to Australia in February 2016.[17]
