Alphonse Airport (ICAO: FSAL) is an airfield serving Alphonse Island,[1] the sole island of the Alphonse Atoll in the Seychelles.

The atoll is located 400 kilometres (249 mi) southwest of Mahé,[2] 87 km (54 mi) south of the Amirante Islands, and 3 km (2 mi) north of St. François Atoll, the second atoll of Alphonse Group.

Facilities

The airport resides at an elevation of 10 feet (3 m) above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 15/33 with a concrete surface measuring 1,214 by 12 metres (3,983 ft × 39 ft) and 6.5 metres (21 ft) of grass on each side giving it a total width of 25 metres (82 ft).[1] The runway is located next to the Alphonse Island Resort.[3]

Airlines

IDC Aviation offers flights between Alphonse and Mahé. From October through April there is one scheduled flight per week. Flights depart from Mahé Airport and last approximately one hour.[4]
