Altai Technologies is a privately held high technology company focused in design, development, and marketing of innovative outdoor wireless broadband solution. Altai's core products are WiFi Base Station, WiFi access points, WiFi equipment and Wireless Management System for network equipment.

The company is headquartered in Hong Kong. It also has branches in Shenzhen, China and Malaysia.

Corporate history

Wireless Access Group (WAG), one of the R&D groups in The Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Company Limited (ASTRI), was set up in 2002. The group spun off as Altai Technologies Limited (Altai) in 2006.

Altai's WiFi base station utilize the patented smart antenna technologies and advanced signal processing algorithm, which achieves a non-line-of-sight radius of up to 500m. Its wireless broadband solution has been deployed globally in more than 60 countries, including cities in the United States, China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, the Middle East, Europe and other Asian-Pacific countries. In 2008, Altai Technologies' Super WiFi Solution has been chosen by Hong Kong Modern Terminals to improve its network performance. In November 2009, Altai and the Wired Towns announced a further expansion of the Syfy Wyfy network in the Rockefeller Center and the Concourse at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.
