Biography


Ambili Devi is a South Indian actress who appears in Malayalam Films & Serials.[1] She has established herself as a lead actres in Malayalam Television Industry and has won the Kerala state Television Award for Best Actress in 2005.She has acted in over 30 Television soap opera's.

Acting career

She started as a young Malayalam Serial artist and got her break with the serial Samayam. After that, She entered the movie industry after she became 'Kalathilakam' in the school youth festival in 2001. Her notable role in Malayalam was Meerayude Dukhavum Muthuvinte Swapnavum, where she played Meera the disabled sister of the lead actor. She also got the opportunity to play the sister of Mohanlal in the movie Hariharan Pillai Happy Aanu. But she didn't get the credit she needed to stay in the big screen, so she continued acting in television serials where she is very successful.She has acted in some albums and advertisements also.She is well known as a television presenter too.

Personal life

Ambili is daughter of Bala Chandran Pillai and Maheswari Amma of Gigi Bhavan at Chavara, Kulangarabhagam near Kollam district. She got married to film-serial cameraman Loval hailing from Thiruvananthapuram on 27 March 2009 at Kollam Bank Auditorium. They have a son Amarnath in 2012.[2] She is a trained dancer in Bharathanatyam, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam & Folk Dance.[3]
