Ameer-ud-Din Medical College (Urdu:امیرالدین میڈیکل کالج) (abbreviated as AMC; also known as PGMI Medical College), established in 2011, is one of the six public colleges of medicine located in, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.It is established on the initiative of CM Shehbaz Sharif to give quality education in the region Punjab and especially in Lahore. It is registered with PMDC, listed in IMED, affiliated with PGMI and UHS, and approved by Ministry of Health. Lahore General Hospital is attached as training and teaching hospital.
History
An inspection team from University of Health Sciences (UHS) visited the newly established college in late April 2012. The UHS was then affiliated with the college as its degree-awarding university.[1] The college currently shares the campus with Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI). In a press release it was stated by the former principal Dr. Anjum Habib Vohra that college will shift to its new building by the time the first batch of students reach the final year. "It will take two to three years to shift the AMC to its permanent building.” he said.[2]

Achievements
In 2015, AMC has shown excellent result by scoring 99% result. In 2016,AMC scored 100% passing score for First Professional Part 1 examination.
Extra curricular activities
AMC students perform extra curricular activities throughout the year. these activities are held under supervision of various societies of AMC which are directly under control of various departments. Sports Society(Current President is Mr.Nouman Akbar) is most famous society of college.President believes in providing finest competitions in sports will urge and incite a sense of discipline in daily life which is key to better future professional life. other Societies are briefed below.

Sports Society is the most famous Society.It organizes many important games.Current President is Mr.Nouman Akbar(batch 2017).the most important event held by it is SPORTS WEEK.
It is held every year mostly in beginning of March or end of February (students are free from exams in these days so in these days such event wont interfere in academic routine).

Cricket
Cricket is the most famous game of the country and there are profuse talent in every street of the country
AMC sports society organizes this game every year. Players of All teams(see teams above) participate.
there are both male and female tournaments held every year. Rana Arsalan Rabbani(representing Forza Gladiators) is the most talented and famous sports personality of Amc. His ferocious style of batting and Pace of wizard in bowling is marvelous.
Muhammad Adil Butt (representing Spartans) is also very technical player.
The team of The Year having finest players of all the batches often go to other colleges for competition.It is Represented by Rana Arsalan Rabbani.
football
Football is full of zeal and zest game and is equally respected as cricket.Amc sports society also organize football tournament for both male and female players.
Haseeb Akram(representing Spartans and also Captain of the college team) is the finest of the lot.His calm and phlegmatic approach to the game is key for his popularity.
Fraz Butt (representing Titans)is most skillful and visionary player and always perform on the day when it matters the most.
Hamza Arif(representing Stellars) is the player with a simple aim to win every minute of the game.His captaincy has won Stellars the football cup 2 times
Abdul Rafay(representing Forza Gladiators )is known as the eye of the tiger.he single-handedly performs in every match.
Usama Ahmed(representing Forza Gladiators) is very skillful and nutmeg specialist.he has embarrassed many good players with his feet skills.
Hamza Aslam(representing Forza Gladiators) is known for his brilliance and his passion for the game. He has played as a keeper(despite being a natural playmaker) and made a name for himself between the sticks. He's expected to start in the middle of the park this season.
Basketball
It is not played frequently throughout the year but is very exciting to be played in sports week.Talha Asif(representing Titans and also college team captain) is the finest player.
Badminton
This is the most entertaining game which tests the patience and deliverance of the sportsman
Usman Murtaza(a spartan) is the finest player but nothing last ever.He was defeated by Rana Arsalan Rabbani that results in ending his career.
Mohsin Nazir(Stellar) is the champion of the year 2015.
Table tennis
It is the most celebrated event of the year.All the fellows gather for sport of their players.
Hafiz Hanif(college captain and spartan)is the finest player.Haseeb Afzal (titan) is PRO table tennis player and played at the regional level.
Naveed is the Champion from the year 2015.
Other games
Race competitions, short put throws, disc throws, high jumps,etc are also played.
