Amery Peaks

The Amery Peaks (70°36′S 67°25′E / 70.600°S 67.417°E / -70.600; 67.417Coordinates: 70°36′S 67°25′E / 70.600°S 67.417°E / -70.600; 67.417) are a group of peaks which extend for about 18 nautical miles (33 km) along the southeast side of Nemesis Glacier, in the eastern Aramis Range, Prince Charles Mountains, Antarctica. They were discovered by the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions southern party of 1956–57 and so named because of their proximity to the Amery Ice Shelf.[1]
