Antolin A. Oreta lll is a Filipino politician and currently the local Chief Executive of the City of Malabon.

Background

Born on September 16, 1971 to businessman Antolin M. Oreta Jr. and former senator Tessie Aquino-Oreta, Mayor Antolin A. Oreta lll better known as “LenLen” is the 2nd of 4 siblings namely Aurora Rosario A. Oreta, Karmela A. Oreta and Jose Lorenzo A. Oreta. He is married to Melissa D. Sison-Oreta, a recognized chef by profession. He completed his elementary education at Stuart Hall for boys at San Francisco, California while he completed his secondary education at the Ateneo de Manila University in Manila, Philippines before he earned his bachelor's degree in Japanese Studies at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan.

Career

Professional career

Before he enter the world of politics, LenLen Oreta lll worked as an Associate for Keppel Securities from 1995–1997 and Assistant Vice President Dealer at Merrill Lynch. He also became Dealer and Vice President for Finance at ABN-AMRO Securities and Intra Strata Assurance Corporation consecutively.

Political career

He started his political career under the National People's Coalition which was founded in 1992 by then presidential candidate Eduardo Cojuangco in the City Government of Malabon as Councilor year 2007. In 2010, he was elected as Vice Mayor of the same city under the Liberal Party and later on assumed the position of Acting Mayor replacing his uncle, the late Canuto Oreta after the latter died of lung cancer. It was year 2013 when he ran for the mayoralty race and won the election unopposed. After his 3 years stint as Local Chief Executive, Mayor LenLen ran for the same position year 2016 and took his 2nd term as Mayor of the city.
