Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo is a Brazilian developer working on the Linux kernel, where he is the primary maintainer of the DCCP implementation,[1] and is also involved in other development work. He's also very known for his extensive work on the Linux command perf.

De Melo was one of the key founders of Conectiva which later became part of Mandriva.
