Arthur Christopoulos
Arthur Christopoulos is an Australian Professor of pharmacology and toxicology at Monash University and a 2013 recipient of the John J. Abel Award from the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.[1]
Early life
Christopoulos obtained his Ph.D. in pharmacology from Victorian College of Pharmacology. He got his postdoctoral training at University of Minnesota and following its completion returned to his homeland where he set up a laboratory for analytical pharmacology research.[1]
Career
Christopoulos studied G protein and published on a phenomenon in dopamine, serotonin, opioids, vasopressin, and adrenergic receptor agonists which is called intrinsic efficacy.[2] He has served on the editorial boards of several scientific journals, including Molecular Pharmacology, the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, and Pharmacological Reviews.[1]

Personal life
Christopoulos has a brother named George, who is also a scientist in the same field.[3]
