Ashley Bryant

Ashley Bryant (born 17 May 1991 in Hammersmith, London) is a British decathlete.[1] He is a member of Windsor, Slough, Eton and Hounslow Athletic Club [2] and is coached by Ian Grant ,[3] a specialist coach for decathletes in and around the South East of England.[4]

Bryant was the best decathlete in the country for 2013 at the age of 22, and for the Long Jump and several other single events he was ranked in the Top 10 U23 Top 20 Senior. In the 2013 European Athletics U23 Championships, he came fourth and got his personal best of 8070 points also. It was the first time in the history of the European Athletics U23 Championships that 8000 points did not place in the top three.

A European Cup 1st League bronze medalist in 2011, he went on to compete in the World Student Games as a 20-year-old, placing fifth event in Shenzhen.

He captained his Country at the 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics in Moncton, Canada.[5]
