Attercliffe Football Club was an English association football club based in Attercliffe, Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

History

Attercliffe were formed as Christ Church in 1870 before changing their name to Attercliffe in 1873.[1]

They were prominent members in Sheffield football during the 19th century, and entered the FA Cup on numerous occasions. The club regularly used to host Sheffield Wednesday in the opening fixture of the season – this tradition lasted from 1871 to 1884.
