Aubrey Frederick Carlile Murphy (1888–1960) was an Australian political figure from the 1930s until the 1950s.

Early life

He was born in 1888 in Orange, New South Wales, to Charlotte and Stephen Murphy.[1] Murphy attended Newington College commencing in 1902.[2]

NSW politics

He was a candidate for the Centre Party in the May 1935 New South Wales state elections unsuccessfully contesting the seat of Concord.[3]

Local government

He served on two occasions as mayor of the Blue Mountains City Council in the 1950s,[4] and was named an MBE in the 1960 New Year Honours.[5] He died in Katoomba, New South Wales, in 1960.[6]
