"Avanti la vie" ("Go forward in life") was the Belgian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1984, performed in French (with some words, including "Avanti" in the title, in Italian) by Jacques Zegers.

The song was performed eighth on the night (following Cyprus' Andy Paul with "Anna Maria Lena" and preceding Ireland's Linda Martin with "Terminal 3"). At the close of voting, it had received 70 points, placing 5th in a field of 19.

The song is a motivational one, urging Zegers' listeners to "go forward in life" and maybe even "revive Rome".

It was succeeded as Belgian representative at the 1985 Contest by Linda Lepomme singing "Laat me nu gaan".
