Ayşegül Acevit

Ayşegül Acevit (born 1968, in Turkey) is a Turkish-German writer.

Her family comes from the Turkish coasts of Black Sea and she grew up in Ruhr and currently lives in Cologne. Acevit studied social sciences and worked for Adolf-Grimme-Institut, Westdeutschen Rundfunk and Zweiten Deutschen Fernsehen.

She co-published with Birand Bingül some histories of the life of Turkish immigrants in Germany in Was lebst Du? (2005)[1] and in her second book Zu Hause in Almanya (2008).[2]
