Bapatla East (rural) is a village in Bapatla mandal, located in Guntur District of Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the east of the Bapatla town and falls in Bapatla mandal of Tenali revenue division.[1][3]

Government and politics

Bapatla East gram panchayat is the local self-government of the village.[4][5] The panchayat has a total of 12 wards and each ward is represented by an elected ward member.[6] The ward members are headed by a sarpanch and the present sarpanch is Mareedu Venkateswaramma.[7][8]
