Basheerabad is a mandal in Rangareddy district of Telangana, located at the border of Karnataka, India. This is largest mandal in Ranga Reddy District. It has railway station named Nawandgi. The major railway station is located on Secunderabad-Wadi section of Mumbai route. It is famous for its toor daal(yellow gram) and Jowar. It also had good number of quarries and stone polishing units. Cement Corporation of India (CCI), VCIL (Vishaka Cement Industry Ltd) which is also called India Cements (ICL), Penna Cement Industries LTD are located near by Basheerabad. The Kagna River is one of the main tributary of Bhima river. Major irrigation is done using Kagna River.

Bashirabad is located at 17°13′00″N 77°26′00″E / 17.2167°N 77.4333°E / 17.2167; 77.4333.[1] It has an average elevation of 431 meters (1417 feet). The neighbor mandals of Basheerabad are Tandur and Yalal. It is 130 km away from the Hyderabad, capital city of Telangana.
