Diocese of Bacău

The Diocese of Bacău (Polish: diecezja bakowska) was a diocese of the Catholic Church in Moldavia, subordinate to the Roman Catholic Church in Poland. The diocese was created in 1591 and lasted until 1818. It was first situated in Curtea de Argeş, but in early 17th century moved to Bacău.

From 1621 it had jurisdiction over Moldavia, Bessarabia and Wallachia.
