Black Duck was an Italian group whose sole single was "Whiggle In Line".[1]
The single was released in December 1994 on the label X Energy Records (in Italy). It was an electronic Eurodance style take on the popular 1994 Whigfield hit single "Saturday Night". It had an added rap element and slightly different female vocals to the original. The music video for this track featured a dancing stuffed black duck, hence the name Black Duck. The video also featured a rapper and a female singer (who is actually British singer and T.V. host Carryl Varley, who also fronted Jinny at one point).
The track was produced by Davide Riva and Larry Pignagoli, the record producers of the original "Saturday Night" track.
The track reached number 33 in the UK Singles Chart in December 1994,[2] and enjoyed modest airplay in the US.
