Boxing at the 1988 Summer Olympics

Boxing at the 1988 Summer Olympics took place in the Chamshil Students' Gymnasium in Seoul between September the 17th and October the 2nd. Twelve men's individual boxing events were contested, attended by 441 athletes and 159 officials from 106 countries. Cuba boycotted the 1988 Olympics which impacted the competition. The events were also notable for the controversial decision in the light middleweight championship bout between Roy Jones Jr. and Park Si-Hun and also for referee Keith Walker being attacked in the ring post fight after the Jong-Il Byun and Aleksandar Khristov bout.
