Brian Kennedy (Iowa politician)

Brian Kennedy (born 1964) is an American lawyer and former state Republican Party chairman of Iowa.[1] He served as a member of the Republican National Committee, co-chairman of the Republican National Convention Platform Committee and past Executive Director of the Republican Governors Association in Washington, D.C.

Kennedy graduated from Iowa State University and Drake University Law School. In 2003, he founded Campaign of One, which sponsored hundreds of Internet-based campaign projects on behalf of Republican candidates from the White House to the courthouse.[2]

In 2006, Kennedy lost the primary for Iowa's first Congressional District Seat in 2006, the seat being vacated by eight term Republican Congressman Jim Nussle who is running for governor. He was defeated by businessman Mike Whalen. In December 2007, Kennedy endorsed Mitt Romney's presidential campaign, but has since declared himself "neutral".[3][4]

Family

Kennedy lives in Bettendorf, Iowa with his wife and son, Beans. He is affiliated with the Davenport law firm of Gallagher, Millage & Gallagher, P.L.C.
