Chappargram before earthquake

Chappargram was one of the villages affected by the 2005 Kashmir earthquake of October 8, 2005 when more than 100 people were killed and approximately 500 were injured. Many residents of the village were rendered homeless and without shelter. The people of chappargram belong to different families (khel).

The most popular personality of chappargram is Tasleem khan (ex.political agent N.wazirestan.present D.C Haripure) : Bara khan ( member of PTI) .Abdul Rauf ( representative of UN organization Hazara division) in seven thousand people of chappargram there is 11 Medical doctors 8 professional engineers
