Richard 'Charlie' Stone (birth registered July→September 1950 (age 6566)

[1]) birth registered in Pontefract district, is an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1970s and '80s playing at representative level for England, and at club level for Featherstone Rovers, and Hull, as a Prop, or Second-row, i.e. number 8 or 10, or, 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums, and was captain of Hull during the 1980–81 season.[2]

Charlie Stone won a cap for England as an Interchange/Substitute while at Featherstone Rovers in 1975 against Australia.[3]

Charlie Stone played Right-Second-row, i.e. number 12, in Featherstone Rovers' 12-16 defeat by Leeds in the 1976 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1976–77 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Saturday 16 October 1976, played (replaced by Interchange/Substitute Peter Smith) in the 7-17 defeat by Castleford in the 1977 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1977–78 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Saturday 15 October 1977, and played Right-Prop, i.e. number 10, in Hull's 18-7 victory over Bradford Northern in the 1982 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1982–83 season at Elland Road, Leeds on Saturday 2 October 1982.

BBC2 Floodlit Trophy final appearances

Charlie Stone played Left-Second-row, i.e. number 11, in Hull's 13-3 victory over Hull Kingston Rovers in the 1979 BBC2 Floodlit Trophy final during the 1979-80 season at The Boulevard, Kingston upon Hull on Tuesday 18 December 1979.

John Player Trophy final appearances

Charlie Stone played Right-Prop, i.e. number 10, in Hull's 12-4 victory over Hull Kingston Rovers in the 1981–82 John Player Trophy final during the 1981–82 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Saturday 23 January 1982.
