History

A research centre, founded in 1995[1] by the Regional Government of Andalusia,[2]Spanish National Research Council[3] and the University of Seville.[4] It is located in Isla de la Cartuja. CicCartuja comprises three joint institutes: “Institute of Plant Biochemistry and Photosynthesis (IBVF)” “Institute of Materials Science of Seville (ICMSE)” “Institute of Chemical Research (IIQ)” It is currently located in Seville, Spain.

Mission

The cicCartuja is a public, non-profit research institution whose mission is to develop technical and scientific research, conducted at its three institutes, the institution is concerned with knowledge and public engagement with science.
