Cindy Bernadette (born February 16, 1978) is a Eurasian Singaporean singer-songwriter, producer, actress and composer of Italian-Chinese Hokkien British Peranakan descent. Cindy Bernadette has reliable dual citizenship in Singapore and Germany. During her career, Cindy Bernadette has release 8 studio albums and appeared in several television and commercial.

Early life

Isabella Cindy Bernadette Satow Tjoe was born on February 16, 1978, in Singapore, but grew up in Switzerland. In the age of 7 she was adopted by now Her father, Joseph Tjoe, is a Chinese Hokkien descent and her mother, Liesje Van Roseboom, is a Dutch Chinese descent. In age of 5, Cindy Bernadette began studying for classical piano. However realizing that it was not greatly enjoyed, Cindy Bernadette focused her interest in ballet and later to singing, as her calling. Cindy Bernadette was active in a school choir and church. In New York, USA, Cindy Bernadette was a lead vocalist in an all female R&B group New Voices.

Career

2006–2007: Cindy and Wish No. 1

After return to Indonesia, an label Sony BMG Indonesia has signed recording contract Bernadette and began working her debut album with several producers. Her debut single "Rintangan" was released and duet with Glenn Fredly. Followed by first single, Bernadette has releasing the single "Berpesta"; even managed to attract the attention of an Indonesian national bank Bank Mandiri and appointing as themed-song for the visa card advertisement. After that, Bernadette has officially releasing his self-titled debut studio album on 2006.

A year later, Bernadette has moving signed to the label X Records and released his second album, titled Wish No. 1. Her first single "Nikmati Saja Berdua" has began popularity and hits single during a weeks in whole radio in Indonesia and her album also received positive response by music critics.

2009–2013: Rise and Shine, Miracles, Romansa and international collaboration project

Bernadette began cooperated with a Catz Records in 2009 for working her third studio album with several musician producer, such as Dule an Gege, Ari Firman, Tanto The Groove, Topan Abimanyu, Australian guitarist Zde Koeswojo, and many other. Bernadette return to release single "Bisa Gila" with collaboration for Dule. His third studio album had released in official, titled Rise and Shine, which she had producing its self album, and theme about for her life and soul.

Her fourth studio album Miracles was released on January 18, 2012, and themed-album about his life always seen as a miracle. In the album, Bernadette singing a recycle song from Titi DJ' "Bahasa Kalbu" and launched first single "I Fall in Love in Jakarta" with nuances of up-beat song.

In addition of her career as music, Bernadette also played her debut soap opera television in RCTI iSkul Musikal and only played as supporting role. Bernadette auditioned for participants celebrity in Indosiar' dance competition Dancing with the Stars of Indonesian version and was eliminated in Top 5.

After that, Bernadette has moving her genre from pop to audiophile and return to releasing her fifth album Romansa on 2013. Produced by Pongky Prasetyo and Timo Toto as executive, the album had listed for Best Selling Audiophile Album in Indonesia. Its album was released by Disc Tarra Group that is labeled Platinum Records.

In addition as songwriter, Bernadette has studying for produced making of a video clip, advertising and movie in the production house HYPENOTIC. INC. and selected as shareholders and Junior Director by this production house. Still same of year, an Australian musician Ron E. Jones has collaborated with her for singing "Cintai Aku Lagi" , an Indonesian version of "Time Machine", and was charted in several radio.[1]

In middle 2013, Bernadette began write the script film for an trilogy with director Arie Azis and cinematography Virlan Wana Langgong. This movie takes 7 months for the preparation and finalization of the script and places they use for shooting is Jakarta, Bali, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Phuket, Krabi and Istanbul. The film is scheduled to be included in the International Festival and also to be released in Indonesia and surrounding of Asia.

2015–present: Serenata, Repackaged, We Love Disney and Starlight

After two years of production, Cindy Bernadette return to released her sixth studio album by Platinum Records in 2015, titled Serenata. The album was HIGHTEST and Best Seller sales in the market. Cindy Bernadette also launched her two previous albums in repackaged version, Rise & Shine: Repackaged and Miracles: Repackaged.

In 2016, Bernadette released the seventh studio album, titled Starlight and her single "BREAKFREE" and "FALLIN" nominated for Best Electronic/Dance Production and Vocal Production at Anugerah Musik Indonesia.
