Clement A. Trott

Clement Augustus Trott (1877 – 1950) was an American Major General in the United States Army.

Biography

He was a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.[1] Clement met his wife Leah Wright while he was in Walker, Minnesota in 1898 involved in the last Indian War.[2] Clement graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1899.[3] During World War I he served as Chief of Staff of the 5th Infantry Division. From 1939 to 1940 he commanded the 6th Infantry Division, before retiring in 1941. Awards he received include the Army Distinguished Service Medal and the Croix de guerre of France. Trott was also an Officer of the Légion d'honneur of France.
