The Colchester Film Festival (CFF) [1] is an international film festival in Colchester, Essex, UK. The festival showcases a selection of the new feature and short films by filmmakers from around world, including World, European and UK premieres. The festival also hosts the 60 Hour Film Challenge, which sees filmmakers create a short film under 5 minutes in 60 hours. Previous films include "Love... and all that" which is set to be turned into a feature film by MGM [2]

The next Colchester Film Festival will take place 19–24 October 2015.

Venues

The main festival venue is Colchester’s firstsite Visual Arts Facility, where it also screens a monthly selection of independent cinema. The Festival also hosts fringe events in other formal arts venues such as The Minories and St Botolphs Waiting Room. Some special outdoor screenings have been held at various Colchester based events each year.
