Connector pen

A Faber-Castell Connector Pen package

A connector pen is a type of felt-tip pen. They are available in 100 different shades and are sold in packs of 10, 12, 20, 24, 30, 36, 43, 50, and 100. They are widely popular among children mainly because the pens can be joined together by their caps to make long chains or other constructions. There are also metallic colors and larger sized variants. The ink within Faber-Castell Connector Pens is non-toxic, safe for children, and washable from most clothing.

Faber-Castell Connector Pens introduced a new set of drawing and coloring techniques for children. Some of them are derived from the grand master techniques but made simple for children. The techniques are patterning, pointillism, contouring, squiggling, shading, labyrinth, mosaic, dash line, and lettering. A small booklet inside the packaging (available in some countries) is included to show the children how to color with these techniques.

After becoming quite successful with the coloring and drawing techniques, Faber-Castell Connector Pens introduced another craft activity. By combining the drawing techniques and the connectivity of connector pens, one can make various crafts with a few connector pens and paper.
