Coolie (Bengali: কুলি, 'Porter') is a 1997 Bangladeshi Dhallywood action comedy film, directed by Montazur Rahman Akbar and written by Abdullah Zahir Babu. The film stars Omar Sunny and Sadika Parvin Popy[1][2] leading role with supporting roles played by Amin Khan, Dildar, Humayun Faridi, Dolly Johur and more.[3][4]

Plot

A wealthy person, Keramot Ali looks for groom for his daughter. Raju; a coolie by profession likes his daughter Poppy seeing her photo. Raju's mother goes to Keramot's house with marriage proposal but he insult her. In order to revenge of mother's insult Raju takes masquerade as a son of wealthy business tycoon so that he can marry Poppy. Keramot accepts the match and the wedding of Raju and Poppy are celebrated. After the wedding Raju will find that he might as well have to pretend all his life as gradually Keramot begins to suspect him especially when he gets caught by Keramot at the railway station working as a coolie.[5]
