Credo High School [1] is a tuition-free, public charter school in Rohnert Park, California, inspired by Waldorf education and serving students in ninth through twelfth grades. There are around 180 students for the 2015-16 school year. There are single cohorts of up to 40 students for 10-12 grades, and a double cohort of 75 freshman; the school has been expanding annually since it was established in 2011. The school is financially supported by Awakening Entelechy, a nonprofit created specifically for the purpose of supporting the school.

Campus

Credo High School is located at 1290 Southwest Boulevard in Rohnert Park, California. The campus has four main classroom buildings with four classrooms each, an administration building, a gym and a performance space. Outdoor facilities include basketball courts, a paved play area, and lawns and garden spaces.

Curriculum and Classes

Credo High, being a Waldorf-inspired college-prep high school, features a rich and varied curriculum including excellent music and fine arts classes, in addition to the standard English, Math, and Science trio. A significant feature of Credo High is the Biomimicry Class, which may be the only course of its kind taught to United States high school students. The classes are rigorous, and students are held to high academic standards.

Credo has an eight-period day, with Thursdays only having six periods. The school offers four music classes, and over the four years, more than 20 art classes, including blacksmithing and blind woodturning.

Credo uses the block system, where students study one subject intensively for four weeks. Through this, every student takes physics, chemistry, biology, and earth science each year and is able to build a deep comprehension of the subjects by graduation. All types of history are also included as morning blocks, as well as ongoing track classes.

Students

Notable students at Credo High include alumni Siobhan O'Reilly, who stands out due to her involvement in a restorative justice program,.[2] Below is a table illustrating the growth of the school.
