D. S. Ravindra Doss (born 20 November 1945 — 22 June 2012),[1] born in Tamil Nadu, was one of the senior Indian journalists who was the founder and president of Tamil Nadu Union of Journalist. Although journalism was the main stream of his career, he was also a writer, social activist & political critic. He has written more than 1000 articles in different Tamil magazines and daily newspapers as well as authored more than 15 books mainly on subjects touching on social issues as well as on Indian Cinema. He was the editor and publisher of monthly Tamil magazine Tamil Thendral which was captioned as 'Magazine by journalists for journalists' He was the president of Tamil Nadu Union Of Journalists[2] and Vice President of All India Journalist.
