Dan Drill

Daniel "Dan" York Drill-Mellum was a student of University of Minnesota and fraternity member of a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He was arrested on Christmas Eve 2015 in relation to allegations from 2014.[1]

In 2016 after being arrested again and subsequently questioned on August 30,[2] he was sentenced to a 74-month prison sentence on August 31 following a guilty plea on 2 counts of rape.[3]

The case received ongoing coverage in the media after one of the women he was convicted of raping, Abby Honold, came forward and talked about how initially authorities did not press charges.[4]

In November an episode of the Dr. Phil Show was aired about the case.[5]
