Dariusz Miłek

Dariusz Miłek (born: 1 February 1968 in Szczecin) is a Polish businessman who is not only a self made billionaire but also the fourth wealthiest person in Poland.

Life

He was born on 01 February 1968 in Szczecin, Poland. In 1976, his family moved to Lubin.

He now lives in Chrostnik, Poland with his wife and three children.

Career

In 1989, immediately after the fall of Communism in Poland, he started selling shoes under the brand name Miłek.[1]

He founded the shoes company CCC SA in 1999 which is now headquartered in Polkowice, Poland.[2]

Wealth

His net worth is estimated at USD 1.07 billion by Forbes magazine.[3]

After the death of Jan Kulczyk, he is estimated to be the 4th wealthiest person in Poland.[4][5]

He has also made investments in the new technology of 3D printers.[6][7]

Awards

He has received the Enterpreneur of the Year award from Ernst & Young.[8]

He has received the prestigious Kisiel Award in the category of entrepreneurship.[9]
