Daryn Smit (born 28 January 1984) is a South African cricketer and captain for the Dolphins. A right-hand bat, former spin bowler and wicket keeper, he has played first class, one day and Twenty20 cricket since 2004.

Smit gave up leg-spin bowling to increase his chances of a call-up to the South African cricket team on basis of wicket-keeping. However, with the inclusions of Dane Vilas and Thami Tsolekile, it seems Smit will not become the successor of Mark Boucher.
