David K. Williams is the Chief Executive Officer of Fishbowl, a private company in Orem, Utah that produces inventory management software previously called Fishbowl Inventory and now separated into two separate products called Fishbowl Manufacturing and Fishbowl Warehouse.[1]

Williams wrote a book for business professionals entitled The 7 Non-Negotiables of Winning: Tying Soft Traits to Hard Results. It was published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. in hardback and electronic format on July 29, 2013. The book discusses lessons from Williams' experiences as a business leader, as well as some topics he has covered in his articles for other publications.[2]

He currently contributes articles to Forbes and has had articles previously published in Harvard Business Review and Inc. Magazine.[3]

Williams has been recognized by a number of publications and companies including Inc. 5000, Deloitte, MountainWest Capital, and Global Red Herring.[4][5][6][7]

Career

David K. Williams worked within various industries from early in his career. In 2004 he became Chief Executive at Fishbowl Inventory.[8][9] The company has since expanded to international level, becoming one of the biggest manufacturing and warehouse management software companies in the world and receiving several awards (Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies, the Deloitte Fast 500 lists, and others), as well as partnering with QuickBooks and other major companies.[10][11]

He has also been awarded as one of vSpring Capital's Top 100 Venture Capital Entrepreneurs for 2011, 2012 and 2014, and in 2014 received the Excellence in Leadership award at Utah Valley University's Woodbury School of Business convocation ceremony.[12] In 2011, Williams he helped established Fishbowl Inventory as an employee-owned company.[13][14] Fishbowl Inventory has since developed into two separate companies, Fishbowl Manufacturing and Fishbowl Warehouse.[15][16]

Williams also founded the CAM Foundation, a Nonprofit organization that provides business education and support for individuals and business. CAM Foundation was named after William's late son, Cameron Williams.[17][18] David K. Williams also currently serves as the President of the Woodbury School of Business National Advisory Council at Utah Valley University, and is part of Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce's executive board of directors.[19][20]
