Karger David Kohler (born June 27, 1966) is the chief executive officer of the Kohler Company and is a member of the Kohler family of Wisconsin.

Early life and education

Kohler was born June 27, 1966 to Herbert Kohler, Jr. and Linda Kohler (née Karger).

Business career

Kohler began his work at the Kohler Company on summer jobs in 1983 and 1985 as a stable helper and as a caster of Wellworth bowls. After graduating from Duke University in 1988, he returned to the company for two years as a planning analyst. He then attended the Kellogg School of Management, receiving an MBA in 1992.[1]

Kohler has been the president and chief operating officer of the Kohler Company since 2009[2] and became president and chief executive officer of the company in April 2015.[3]

Personal life

Kohler is married to Nina Brookhart and they reside in Kohler, Wisconsin. They have three children: Sam, Jack, and Catherine.[4] Kohler was previously married to Elizabeth Waddell with whom he had one child, Ashley.
