David Vestal

David Vestal (1924 – December 14, 2013) was an American photographer, critic, and teacher, of the New York School.[1] He was the recipient of John Simon Guggenheim Fellowships in 1966 and 1973.[2] Vestal's publications include The Art of Black and White Enlarging (1984)[3] and The Craft of Photography.[4] His column, "Vestal at Large," was a regular feature in "Photo Techniques Magazine."[5] Vestal died December 14, 2013 in Bethlehem, Connecticut in 2013.[6]
