Deborah Stipek

Deborah J. Stipek is the dean of the Stanford Graduate School of Education. She was appointed dean in April, 2015.[1] This is her second stint as dean, having previously served from 2001[2] through 2011. Prior to that, she was a professor at the Graduate School of Education, University of California, Los Angeles, from 1977 to 2000. Stipek was also a Congressional Science Fellow, Society for Research in Child Development from 1983 to 1984.

Stipek holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from Yale University (1977) and a BS in Psychology from the University of Washington (1972).
