Dimitrios "Dimitris" Kourbelis (Greek: Δημήτρης Κουρμπέλης, born 2 November 1993) is a Greek footballer who plays for Superleague side Asteras Tripolis.[1]

The 22 years' old central defender who can also play as defensive midfielder, is one of the big bets of the Greek football, as they believe he can bring even more money (800,000 euro) the offer made for Kostas Fortounis in 2011 from 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Reports indicated that Asteras Tripolis during the summer 2013 rejected two proposals for the talented ace. One was from PAOK(€500,000) and the other from Fulham (€800,000), without ignoring the vast interest of AEK.[2] On 31 May 2015 Kourbelis reached 100 appearances with the jersey of Asteras Tripolis and Greek international defensive midfielder celebrated, by scoring his first goal in 2014-15 playoffs against Atromitos.[3]
