Director's Kut Productions is a television production company based in Mumbai.[1] Established in 2007, it produces television shows for various channels like Star Plus, Colors TV, Sony TV, and Life OK. They have produced popular Indian serials including Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai, Amrit Manthan and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.[2]

In 1999, Rajan Shahi made his directorial debut with the series Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi. He went on to direct more hit series, including Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, Hamare Tumhare, Rishtey, Kareena Kareena, Reth, Mamtaa, Millee, Virasaat and Saathi Re. Thereafter he worked as a series director for Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan and Maayaka. Eventually, he became a television producer and started his own production company in 2007. His first series as producer was Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai on Star Plus, followed by Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.[3]

They have made more shows, such as Chand Chupa Badal Mein, on Star Plus and Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg and Havan on Colors TV. These shows did not do well. Kuch Toh Log Kahenge also suffered low ratings. Their most successful work is Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
